2. Categories of Personal Information Collected (last 12 months)
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Identifiers — name, email address, account IDs from sign-in providers, IP address, device/browser identifiers, cookie IDs.
- Customer records / account info — profile display name, avatar URL from identity providers.
- Internet / network activity — pages viewed, clicks, referrers, session telemetry, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP.
- Geolocation (coarse) — derived from IP; we do not seek precise GPS for core features.
- User content — reliability reports (purchase/failure dates, notes), uploaded images for verification, feedback text.
- Inferences — limited operational inferences (e.g., device type) for security and analytics—not profiling for credit or employment.
- Sensitive personal information — we do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, or government ID. Account credentials are handled by identity providers. Images you upload could incidentally contain personal information; please avoid uploading sensitive data.

- Directly from you (forms, uploads, account linking);
- Automatically from your device/browser (cookies, telemetry, logs);
- Identity providers (Google, Apple) if you sign in;
- Service providers processing data on our behalf.
4. Purposes of Collection & Use
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- Perform authenticity analysis, reliability aggregation, and calculators you request;
- Authenticate users and prevent fraud, abuse, and scraping;
- Communicate about the Service (transactional messages);
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms;
- Produce de-identified / aggregate statistics (e.g., lifespan histograms).
We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.

We disclose personal information to:
- Service providers / processors — hosting, databases, email/infra, AI/vision APIs, analytics, auth providers — under contracts limiting use to providing services to us;
- Legal / safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security;

- With your direction — when you ask us to share.
In the last 12 months we have disclosed identifiers, internet activity, and user content to service providers for the purposes above. We have not sold and have not shared (as defined by CCPA for cross-context behavioral advertising) personal information in the last 12 months.

At or before collection, we inform you of categories and purposes via this Policy, in-product notices, and clickwrap assent on gated actions (verification submissions and reliability reports). Reliability reports and verification images are collected to provide those features and improve service quality and safety.
7. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including legal, security, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. Retention periods vary by data type (e.g., security logs vs. account profile). De-identified aggregates may be kept indefinitely.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

- Correct inaccurate personal information;

- Limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information (where applicable);
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising rights.
How to exercise: Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request,” stating your request type, the email associated with your use of the Service (if any), and sufficient detail for us to verify your identity. We will verify using commercially reasonable methods (e.g., confirming control of the email address) and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days under CCPA, extendable as permitted).
Authorized agents: You may designate an authorized agent. We may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
Do Not Sell or Share: See Your Privacy Choices. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-out requests where required.
10. Children (COPPA)
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
